I'm a Bronx-born author, educator and unabashed liberal. I admire those who not only believe in and support our Constitution, but also are committed to social justice in society. Currently I reside in St. Louis, Missouri. I've spent the past 50 years as a secondary teacher and college educator who has taught over 14,000 teachers, as well as being the co-author of "The American Experience: The History of the United States" and "Social Studies in Global Society," and author of almost a dozen other books. I also created the Veterans Accelerated Urban Learning for Teachers program to assist Vietnam War veterans further their education.
