Great subject - the apple seems so innocent. Kind of like looking from the battlefield and then over the next grassy knoll. It looks so innocent and unaware of the mayhem happening (or in this case about to). Good shot!

This is such a charged image...it is quiet yet has an undercurrent of violence. I have to disagree with Jessabean...the dark spot is distracting, but IMO it reads well with the "shrapnel" around the knife...all of which hint at a crime scene. The title, like Jessabean said, plays perfectly with the subject. Well done!

First, I love the title, and the way it plays with the subject of your photo. I like how the knife leads your eye up to the bowl. The lighting is nice. I wonder if it's possible to edit out the dark spot above the apple, though. It's a little distracting to my eye. Still, lovely photo!
