I wasn't looking for a job. I was actually just finishing my workout. Getting ready to go pick up the kids from the free daycare where I swim.

I looked at the comments section of the board, because people's comments are always entertaining. And there it was. I swear there was a light shining on it and angels singing in the choir. No, really.

I called about the job. I was told that the applications have already been closed, but because no one had been found yet, to please send in my resume. This was after I spoke of my experience and such.

I had an interview. For an hour and half. It went great. The pay, not quite where I wish it would be, daycare, gas and all, but not bad. The job itself...a dream. Exactly what I could see myself doing for the rest of my life.

I was told there would a call for me on Tuesday. I waited all Tuesday, on pins and needles. Wednesday rolled around, still no call. I waited, again, on pins and needles. Thursday, this morning, rolled around, still no call.

I got up my courage and called. Only to reach the same person who really encouraged me to apply. Only to be told the job was filled and the man hiring was out for the day.

Guess it wasn't the dream job after all.

Every time I take a picture, I am reminded of the song by the Cure "Pictures of You". I love their music!

Well, I keep two other blogs (Mommy's Getaway and my photoblog - Through Tam's Eyes) as well as a radio show/podcast, BUT I don't really have a 'space' of my own. So, I am staking my claim, just like you did in the Old West Days, just like cavemen did with their 'wemin'. This is my spot...my ranting spot...my happy spot. MY SPOT.

Now...I just hope my family does not find me!
