Back in 1978 my Dad came home with a 1972 Yamaha 292 snowmobile. After my first ride, I was hooked! I was 9 years old at the time and a real sledhead. As the years progressed we upgraded and changed models. Going from Yamaha’s to Arctic Cats, to John Deere’s (RIP). Now in 2007, and a couple hundred years later, I am still riding Yamaha sleds. My machines are what my brother would call dinosaurs, but until this Global Climate Change thing reverses and winters dump more snow in our area I refuse to buy a new machine. I currently have a 1985 Yamaha SRV, a 1989 Yamaha Ovation, a 2003 Polaris 120 (for the kids) and a 1972 Arctic Kitty Cat (for me and the kids).
