Okay, I now have a little time so here goes; First let me be quite frank and say that I am not good with words. Second I enjoy my privacy and being anonymous (I am quiet shy), so rather then write about myself I will chose a sculptor and write about him.

WHO/WHEN: My second sculptor is Michelangelo- March 6, 1475 – February 18, 1564. WHAT: Michelangelo worked in marble. His inspirations were the human form (mainly), as well as mythological and biblical themes. Michelangelo was alive during the Renaissance, consequently his work reflects the tastes of that time. WHERE: Italian sculptor known for his sculptures as well as his paintings (The Sistine Chapel ceiling). His sculptures are mainly in Italy but can be found in museums. WHY: The personal part-While studying art I "cut my teeth" on Michelangelo and other Renassaince artists. I must admit that I am biased towards the Renaissance artists. Like Moore Michelangelo also had a very good understanding of the material he worked in. His sculptures are monumental, but his main concern was the beauty of the human form. Again, I have other reasons, but it is not my intent to be to mind-numbing. Trust me, when it comes to Michelangelo I could talk for hours, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HIS WORKS.
