Proverbs 3: 17-18
Her ways are pleasant ways
and all her paths are peace

She is a tree of life to those who embrace her
those who lay hold of her will be blessed

I am just loving reading about all the benefits of wisdom - which is something we can ask God for, and He says He will give to us - the more I read these, the more I want to have them!

I love the images brought to mind when I think of "pleasant ways.....paths are peace..." the words themselves are quiet and comforting. I know a few people like this, and it is just a joy to be in their presence - you come away blessed, even if you had not said a word.

Wisdom as a tree of life - and I can embrace this! Would I not just run to embrace life and the joy of living it - with God as my constant companion? I think that you couldn't have that kind of joy without God - for He is the source of it. And 'those who lay hold of it will be blessed' - makes me want to just grab on and hold on for dear life - I think that wisdom, once acquired - even a taste of it - is something that I would never let go. And that taste can be added to every single day!
