Proverbs 3: 15 - 16
She is more precious than rubies
nothing you desire can compare with her

Long life is in her right hand
in her left hand are riches and honor

Still speaking of wisdom here - and the many benefits of acquiring and listening to those willing to share it with me. The first verse is a pretty strong endorsement! To be more precious than gems - and even more - to be better than anything you could desire - that's quite an extreme statement! But then I think how having wisdom would completely change my life, for it would be an integral part of everything I do!

I really like the image the second verse portrays - who doesn't desire long life, riches and honor? To have them offered to me - how could I refuse? Yet I do - over and over - in favor of "I know better....". Trying every day to learn a little better that I don't know better, but that God does - and He's the One to go to for that 'long life, riches, and honor' - for His rewards are eternal!
