I love Chiu Chow style sweet crystal dumplings (aka zui zian bao, seen at the top of this post). These translucent glutinous dumplings are steamed wonders that proudly show off their delicious innards. Choose from red bean paste, taro or sweet custard (or even a mixed trio). Delicious!

Taro pearl balls....These little sweet treats were pounded taro rolled into balls, coated with Chinese vermicelli crumbs and deep fried. The outside fried noodles become airy and crisp, while the insides are soft, slightly gummy, and molten hot. yam fudge cupcake..Sprinkle with dessicated coconut to add an extra crunch to the cupcake. I used to think that this is (almost) a traditional cake that not many younger generation will like it, but I was wrong! Everyone love the soft and fluffy yam sponge cake and the cold fudge layer!....
This is my favourite cupcake all the time! Lemon Cupcake with Cream Cheese frosting! The refreshing lemony cupcake neutralised the rich cream cheese flavour, so everything is so perfect.

The insides are mixed with milk, butter, egg, sugar or what have you and baked and then a layer of custard is paid down at the bottom of the sweet potato skin and the baked insides are put back in with more buter on top and then browned.
