I have written a easy to follow* guide to designing your own cre8buzz template.
It includes everything you need, including links to websites to find images.
You don't have to understand code.
You don't have to write code, just fill in blank spaces provided with your own choices.
If you have already added widget codes to your template it shows you how to make sure you don't loose them.
It shows you how to add a background image,
position a background image,
change the text colour,
move your sections around your template,
add widgets to your template,
and more.
You can find the guide here in my Google documents
http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgzjcmzv_1gnzhq7
I had to publish it off Cre8buzz due to the limitations of the Cre8buzz blog. If you find this guide helpful please come back here and rate this post.
*I have read the document through about 3 times and everything seems to be in order but if you notice any glaring mistakes or have any problems following the instructions please let me know so that I can modify it.

That's great, much appreciated. But while I'm getting familiar with customizing my theme, anyone out there have a pre-made cre8buzz theme blog or site I can get themes from?

Really useful information! I didn't copy the whole theme and customise it, but your notes about which elements did what and which bits to change made picking out the elements I wanted to change really straightforward. Using semi-transparent png files is a brilliant idea! I created my own image files and put them in my own storage space. If others have linked to the ones you specify in the photobucket account there could be band width issues in the future. Thankyou! Jo

Hi, I went to that pixelgirlpresents.com and it says in there you can't use their graphics for blogs or myspace type of websites. :(

I think I'm doing something wrong - I've lost my "Rate Me" button and I don't know what happened to it. Help!

This is great, I'm going to change my page all the time now! I've already said goodbye to the children... Oh, and pixelgirlpresents.com is a great place to find artsy background images. I love them.

Kimburlee: Of course, of course! Willy me. I shall add that now. Thank doll. :) Walks Far Woman: Your welcome. It's nice to learn how to do stuff isn't it? :) Corey: Welcome. Be warned - it can become a little addictive. Belle: No sorry, it doesn't work for blogger. Somebody really needs to write one for lbogger. Umm...maybe if I get some time one day... Ian: you're welcome. Good luck with it all.

That's a comprehensive guide, thanks. I really must get round to updating mine, I have no excuse now.

Incredibly helpful, this is exactly the sort of thing I need. Although I suspect I'll be happy with my flowers for a while yet ;o) Without wishing to flaunt my techno-numpty status ... does it work for blogger too? Probably not, I'll go and hide in a corner and play with an abacus or some such non technological toy ...
