I ran across a few things today that could possible keep your home from not selling. While I laughed at them, someone might actually be having trouble with this. Here are some things that keep a home from selling:

Spiral Staircase- While it's cute to look at, it's not cute to climb. My friend had a spiral staircase and she couldn't get her laundry up to her room. She came up with the great idea to live them over the balcony with a rope. So, yes a spiral staircase could keep your home from selling.

Too Small- I think this might be the most common. I can only assume that two bedroom homes are the hardest to sell. People are usually looking for "at least" a 3 BR/2Ba. In order to sell, you will probably have to make your home look as big as possible. This involves staging your home and getting rid of clutter.

It's Got A Fuse Box- These days people are expecting circuit breakers. You might want to upgrade in order to sell your home.

No Air- Conditioner- Yes, when I heard this I was like, "Say what"? Obviously there are houses at there that do not have air-conditioners. Putting in the money to get an air conditioner would be totally worth it and believe me you'll make that money back as soon as you sell your home.

Laundry Room In Basement- Older homes seem to have laundry rooms in the basement. Now-a-days it's more common to have them inside the home. No one wants to go into the deep, dark and damp basement to do their laundry. Ooooh, scary! lol Get your washer and dryer back into the house!
