There is a place I know, just a click away
sometimes if you play just right, the group will let you stay.
You build elaborate pseudonyms, made to intrigue and entice
maybe you are a lil' naughty or just plain nice.
The game you play consumes a bit of your life
you can explain away stupid mistakes, make jokes or simply share your strife
The taste of victory is sweet, tasted neither once or twice, maybe not once at all
as you have met your quota and want no more to meet.
The game becomes more internal, loosing your plans for the day, in your head reciting. I will win, I must I can find the way
Do I need to show more of me, more cybershow, insult more, anything just to play
In the end have you won at all, the computer as your friend
It seems to be catching on maybe one day actual human contact will end.
We shall be happy with points or orbs or whatever keeps you coming back
See look at the score, see how I've been tracked
I won, I did, I did but will I do it another time? Or will I be unmercifully attacked
Maybe its a convienant work diversion or an outlet for those stuck at home
Either way it's here to stay our cyber alter dome.
So, start your fingers, cushion our rears and say,
" Come on everybody let us play!"

Wow, you finally found a way to make me sign up. I had a very emotional response to this above. My response....How Sad! What's wrong with meeting people? What's wrong with using your talents in a lucrative way? I'm sorry, but I think there is something very visceral about human contact. Writing is fun and exploring as well; however, turning into a vampire that breathes nothing but computer fumes is not. My order for the day? Go outside and meet someone!!!
