Goingbigger's cre8Buzz Blog
Wow it seems that things change so fast and everything is going is tons of directions that it is tough to keep up. Though I haven't been posting on cr8buzz, I have been posting on other websites.
Back in October I did a post regarding the new construction and lot sales pipeline that is our area, http://www.barnettassociates.net/new-construction-lot-supply-pipeline-update/. The news is to be expected. Lots of inventory, slow sales, you know the story.
Then over at the Seattle PI's ski blog I did one on the upcoming Warren Miller Film Children of Winter. It is coming to Seattle this month and a segment in the film is dedicated to a Utah skier who died during the filming, http://blog.seattlepi.nwsource.com/ski/archives/153563.asp.
I also started another blog, what another one? Yes another one but I think my goal is to transition from my MSN Space as a personal blog to this new one. Last night I started messing around with a flickr plugin and did a post on how the weekend was over, http://www.goingbigger.org/boo-the-weekend-is-over-already/.
>Well I am off to get some more work down and see if something can't be accomplished this week. Peace out.
Wow it seems forever since I last visited cre8buzz and after seeing the message regarding buzz funding it seems more changes are going to happen.
Early September I finally enrolled in a real estate course from the Rockwell Institute in Bellevue WA. It was a breeze and gave me an opportunity to ask questions and clarify items as an office manager I don't normally see. After passing the class I passed the state exam and already have my first listing, http://www.barnettassociates.net/28168248/.
It is pretty exciting and now I now I can actually put more of these business skills to work. Anything new with everyone else?
I have been busty this summer with family, friends, blogging and for the most part real estate. So here goes for a recap.
It all started at the beginning of the month with the Hydroplane races on Lake Washington. But since tickets are expensive for the long boom my friends my friends and I just watched the Blue Angels and had some beers on my boat.

As the month continued a surge of writers block hit me and nothing was produced on any blog. But that did change when my friend John Wahl came to the office and dropped off a Puget Sound housing trend report. It showed that the Puget Sound region, Snohomish, King, Kitsap, Thurston and Pierce County are still better off than the rest of the nation.

Then just the other day some friends and I got to get there and did some pretty cool energy posts. Mine was a low, medium and high cost approach to saving money. Some of the suggestions where: dressing appropriately, adjusting the hot water tank, heating filters, and adding insulation.

But not sure what to do next as the month winds to and end and winter quickly approaches. Today is over cast and cloudy with intermittent rain at rough 65 degrees. More like fall than August.
Anyhoo that is me catching up with stuff and now got to go upload a listing to the website.
The railroad is a deep part of Washington's history and has played a pivot role in the transportation of goods from the mountains down into the Puget Sound. Railroads connected Monte Cristo, Snohomish and Lake Stevens to Everett and then the greater Seattle area but not all of these trains have faded into the background.
Instead of carrying precious cargo and goods, these historic work horses now carry passengers on scenic tours that is an experience straight of the past. The Spirit of Washington - Dinner Train is the most popular train ride in Washington and departs from Tacoma's Historic Freighthouse Square onward towards Mount Rainier while passing through Frederickson, Graham and arriving at Lake Kapowsin. The ride totals 3 1/2 hours and gives the resident as well as the visitor and unique and special perspective on the State.

Yesterday I received the 2nd Quarter 2008 lots sales figures and to my surprise there was a 46% increase. That is not saying much though since lot sales increased to a meager 69 for all of Snohomish County from 47 in the first quarter.
The price in which a lot sells for is the most important factor when forecasting what a new construction home will sell for on that lot. If a developer gets into a piece of dirt for X amount of dollars and forecasts a selling price of Y but the current market will only bear Z it leaves little to no margin for the developer as well as the future builders.
