Beading Problem
May 01, 2008 12:48

I have the parts for a necklace I'd ordered for a costume I'm making. They came on a really crappy rubber thing instead of a decent string, so I decided I wanted it put on a silk thread.

I got everything strung all right (no big whoop--it's just two beads and a pendant) but I can't keep the barrel clasp pieces tied onto the silk. As soon as I think I have a knot that will stay (I'm using a fisherman's knot) the silly thing falls apart on me while I'm wearing it.

Does anyone have suggestions on how I can keep that clasp tied on?

Try a surgeons know (most beading sites have sections that show how to do this - I know how - just can't put it in words), and then glue it.

Hope this helps
